There a few ways you can get in touch with us; send an enquiry via our website by completing an enquiry form, or call us Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 5:30pm on 1300 800 003 or you can send us an email at hello@thelearninggroup.com.au.

How does online learning work?

Online learning simply means, flexible learning. We have a student-first approach, so you can study your way, when and how it suits you. Our courses are designed to fit in with your lifestyle, so you can continue to work and study at the same time. You’ll be fully supported with access to an allocated student support advisor and our experienced course consultants, who are available to you 5 days a week.  We will be with you every step of your learning journey, to ensure you feel supported from start to end (because we know online study will require support at different times).

How long does it take to complete a course?

Most of our courses will take anywhere from 200 to 400 hours to complete. However, each course is unique and may take longer, depending on how many modules the course is made up of. You can request a course brochure which outlines all the specific details.

Are the courses difficult? Do I need prior learning in the course area?

Most of our courses are positioned at an introduction level, so there are no pre-requisite courses or prior experience required to start. However, please check the course brochure for more information on the specific course you are interested in.

What are the entry requirements? What will I need to complete the course?

Each individual course guideline will outline any specific requirements needed to complete the course but for the majority of our courses, there are no entry requirements. In saying that, at a preliminary level, you will need to understand English, be able to read and write, have access to a computer with reliable internet and a printer, and pens and paper.

Do I get any support?

The Learning Group was created by a group of young, driven, and hungry individuals, designed specifically to help other people get ahead and stay ahead. Once you enrol into one of our courses, you’ll be fully supported with access to an allocated student support advisor and our experienced course consultants, who are available to you 5 days a week. We will be with you every step of your learning journey, to ensure you feel supported from start to end (because we know online study will require support at different times). You will also get access to a learning management system, which is specific software that has been designed to deliver your course to you, online – it’s where you access your course, complete tasks, and upload your assessments.

Are there any assessments for my course?

Assessments are an important part of your study journey as they help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next. They also help your student support advisor and course consultants identify where any further support may be required, so that you get the most out of your course. You will learn via various methods; a combination of reading, undertaking research and watching videos. Assessments might include case studies, quizzes, and written assessments.

What qualification will I get?

Whether you want to stand out from the competition, move into a new industry or turn your passion into a career, our courses are designed to help you get ahead and stay ahead. If you are completing a short course offered by The Learning Group, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, officially recognising your completion of the course and a Statement of Attainment for each module completed. Our short courses are pathway courses, helping you to get ahead and stay ahead of the competition. The courses focus on industry and are not accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

What if I want to cancel my course?

Once you have completed and signed the student declaration and we have sent you your welcome email, you will be classified as enrolled into the course. You have 5 days after your welcome email has been sent to cancel your course and request a refund of the fees paid. You will be entitled to a full refund (less an administrative fee of $200) if you cancel during this time. If you cancel after this time, you will be liable to pay the full amount outstanding. Requests for course cancellation must be made by emailing hello@thelearninggroup.com.au with your full name, email, phone number, course enrolled and reason for request of refund. Please note, any refunds will be processed on the 15th of each month.

Can I study more than one course?

Yes, you can study multiple courses at one time. However, if you are new to online learning, we would recommend that you start with one course initially, until you feel confident with the workload and have a better understanding of what is required of you.

Are there any additional costs involved other than those set out at the time of enrolment?

Unless you request additional products or services, there are no additional costs associated with your course. The fee you pay is all-inclusive.

Can you print the course notes out for me or is the course only via correspondence?

You can either print the course notes out yourself, or if you don’t have access to a printer, you can ask us to print them for you and we can send them out to you for a small fee. Please get in touch with us to find out more.
