Module 1: Counselling Skills I (100 hours)
Counselling skills are the foundation to becoming a counsellor. Every counsellor needs to understand what the different micro-skills are and how to make the best use of them. From listening and attending skills through to challenging skills such as confrontation and influencing skills like reflection of meaning, this course provides a framework for assisting students to learn and practice along the way. Graduates will feel well versed in the appropriate use of tools in their armoury.
Module 2: Child Psychology (100 hours)
Through mastering child psychology you can learn how children develop psychologically as they mature from infancy through to adolescence, and what factors (such as learning, parenting styles, reinforcement and genetic makeup) influence their behaviour and thinking. If you work with children you will gain valuable insights into child behaviour and be able to apply your knowledge to real-life situations.

Assessment
Assessments are an important part of your study journey as they help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next.
