Module 1: Tourism I (100 Hours)

You will gain a better understanding of all elements of the industry, from booking services to transport and accommodation to tour guides and operators.
Learn how to better understand your client’s needs to ensure you can provide relevant recommendations specific to their requirements and travel plans. The module also delivers the fundamental operational skills required in the travel industry; from booking flights, group tours and accommodation.
Module 2: Tourism II – Special Interest Tourism (100 Hours)
This module is designed to provide an introductory overview of the exciting emerging tourism market, Special Interest in Tourism. Discover what SIT encompasses and why there is a growing demand for this type of tourism, which caters for the specific interests of groups and individuals. Gain a better understanding and explore the four main experiences of SIT, which include rewarding, enriching, adventurous and learning experiences.
Module 3: Adventure Tourism (100 Hours)
The Adventure Tourism module provides a comprehensive introduction to the dynamic field of adventure tourism, highlighting its scope and nature. It delves into the various sources and types of adventure tourism products alongside effective management practices tailored to this unique sector. It emphasises on understanding the adventure tourism customer and explores both artificial and natural locations and facilities crucial for delivering exceptional experiences. Additionally, it addresses key aspects such as ethics, sustainability, environmental impacts, risk management and the importance of insurance in adventure tourism.
Module 4: Hotel Management (100 Hours)
This module offers an insightful exploration into the multifaceted world of hotel management, illuminating its scope and nature. It covers the organisation of the hotel workplace and delves into effective staff management practices specific to the hotel industry. Additionally, it addresses critical operational aspects, including control systems, front desk management, room servicing and general cleaning. It offers insights into the operations of tour desks and offices and the nuances of managing accommodation and catering facilities within an ecotourism context.
