Module 1: Human Nutrition I (100 Hours)
This module is designed as an introduction to human health and nutrition. You will learn about energy, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, and about nutritional needs and recommended intakes. From exploring the digestive system to nutrient disorders, this module aims to provide the basics of health and nutrition.
Module 2: Human Nutrition II (100 Hours)
Throughout this module, you will discover how to improve your own health or to support others by optimising nutrition. You will explore how cooking techniques and food processing can impact the nutrients of your food. Learn how to manage dietary intake to include significant vitamins and minerals and how you can apply this knowledge in a practical way to design healthy meal plans and a balanced diet.
Module 3: Starting a Small Business (100 Hours)
This module is designed to give you an introduction to starting your own small business. Learn how to identify risks so you can avoid problems before they overtake you, recognise your assets and liabilities and utilise your resources to best effect. From planning your new business and developing a 12-month business plan to budgeting, exploring sales methods and improving profitability, you will learn the fundamentals required to build a small business.
Module 4: Therapeutic Nutrition (100 Hours)
The Therapeutic Nutrition module guides you through optimising nutrition for health improvement and support. You’ll delve into therapeutic nutrition, addressing dietary management for allergies, intolerances, diabetes, heart diseases like hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis, renal conditions, and cancer. It also explores the impact of diet on digestive disorders affecting the oesophagus, small intestine, colon, and other metabolic conditions such as liver, gallbladder, and pancreas health. It focuses on strategic diet planning tailored to specific medical conditions, empowering you with the knowledge to design effective, health-supportive meal plans.
Module 5: Business Studies (100 Hours)
This module provides an insightful journey into the world of business, from establishment to management procedures.
