Students will undertake 3 Key Modules, made up of 11 subjects.
Certificate 1: Makeup Fundamentals
A comprehensive introduction to the makeup fundamentals, this certificate is the perfect step for both aspiring makeup artists and makeup hobbyists. You will learn a wide range of skills, including how to assess a client’s needs (understanding their skin tone and how to perform a colour consultation), and delve deeper into different beauty products, their ingredients and what you should have in your makeup kit.
Certificate 2: Apply Makeup
In this certificate, you will gain a better understanding of someone’s skin tone and complexion, and how to colour-match foundations to best suit their individual needs. Learn how to apply makeup on lips and cheeks, and how best to create flattering looks by applying different makeup to eyes and eyebrows. Specifically designed by leading industry professionals, this certificate will also teach you how to create different makeup looks for different occasions.

Assessments are an important part of your study journey as they help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next. They also help your student support advisor and mentors identify where any further support may be required, so that you get the most out of your course. You will learn via various methods; a combination of reading, undertaking research and watching videos. Assessments might include case studies, quizzes, and written assessments.
